Virgo: Fight Through The Freeze. Think Like A Virgo.
When we run into Virgo energy (in the sky or within others), we’re inspired by their grounded optimism, their way to turn big plans into concrete actions. With flooded timelines and inboxes with criss-crossing news stories and calls to action, we get lost in the weeds, and that’s where Virgo energy shines.
They make their home in the weeds and details to see how all that nitty gritty fits into the big picture. Virgos look behind the sheen of marketing campaigns and buzzwords, and if there’s nothing backing it up they’ll be the first to call your bullshit.
Virgos sometimes get the “busybody” moniker (which is sexist but that’s a different conversation), but they’re are more than helpers. They work in the minutia to build the Big Picture. They connect people and ideas, they document and archive. They’re the ones doing the “boring” work to get the job done (to their satisfaction of course).
When we get overwhelmed with news and atrocities on your screens, fight through the freeze. Think like a Virgo. What’s in front of you, and where is one thread you can pull? What’s one thing you can research, advocate for, get involved with? Find just one thing and go from there.
Maybe that means doing a deep dive on whatever the current Big Scary Bill is. Maybe it’s researching alternatives to boycotted brands or finding local resources for people. Maybe it’s spending a day at a phone bank or volunteering at a community event. Start small to make sure it’s consistent.
Virgo overall is a self-sufficient energy. They take care of themselves and never take more than what they need to get their shit done. It’s not about thinking small. It just seems wasteful to a Virgo to take more than what you’d use, and it wouldn’t be honest to promise something you can’t commit to. It’s not small, it’s efficient.
And we talk a lot about consumerism and overconsumption right now, so yes there’s that. But there are other things we can do. Clothes swaps are always very popular. But there’s also potlucks where everyone uses what’s left in their pantry and everyone shares the leftovers (free meal planning if you do it right). There are book exchanges, potlucks, the list goes on.
Virgo reminds us that we don’t have to do everything, but we can do at least one thing. And if we’re going to do that one thing, we gonna do it right.
